PHP Architect – LAMP Engineer – Software Architect, eCommerce

Location: Los Angeles, CA

We are a growing, privately held, stealth startup in beautiful Santa Monica! We help consumers find awesome local deals and reward the people who help them. We are innovating traditional eCommerce and bringing a more social approach to the industry. We are looking for a Software Architect with strong PHP experience to join our very technical team.

What you will need:
- 5+ years experience with PHP and Python / Perl developing web-based systems
- Strong experience in a Unix environment
- Experience with developing REST-based APIs
- Cloud Management / Virtualization (i.e. Amazon EC2 and S3)
- Experience building system components as re-usable APIs is a plus.

What you will be doing:
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and write code / unit tests
- Engineer, implement and maintain new / existing products
- Optimize and enhance web applications with millions of page requests
- Add architecture input to new system components, and rewrites
- Contribute expertise to code reviews and assist in mentoring junior developers
