Senior PHP Developer/Web Producer – Downtown LA

Location: Right by Staples Center

Zend and Drupal are pluses as are the Front End Development skills

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide clear direction to cross-functional project teams on development and maintenance projects
• Program, develop, and document content management systems for websites: including PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript development
• Communicate with vendors for web projects and maintenance
• Monitor development for adherence to business requirements and guidelines
• Deliver ongoing project status reports throughout the project life cycle
• Work with business units on business unit requirements and objectives, as required
• Maintain site content for assigned properties
• Being a point of contact for day to day website maintenance
• Communicate status to business unit representatives
• Promote, educate, and execute technical development and maintenance methodologies
• Assist Directors and Supervisors with special projects

Key Skills/Experience:

• Strong web development skills and demonstrated proficiency in: PHP5/Javascript/HTML/CSS/SQL, Subversion (Java, Flash and Actionscript experience a plus)
• Object oriented programming skills a MUST
• Familiarity of popular frameworks such as Zend, Jquery, Drupal, etc.
• Strong understanding of database driven applications (MySQL 5.0.x experience preferred)
• Proficient in LAMP development environment
• Must be able to work with UNIX and Linux operating systems. SA experience is a definite plus
• Minimum 3 years experience with business and Internet development applications
• Minimum 3 years of requirements writing, creating user documentation and/or specifications, etc.

Education:

• The following educational background is not required, but is strongly preferred:
Computer Science
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
