Front End Developer at Geodelic, Los Angeles
Geodelic has built a team of talented and creative engineers, but we are not done yet! We are still building our team, and are looking for a talented front end developer.
We need a front end engineer to build and work on the system that allows allow our content partners, from Mom and Pop businesses to global brands, to enter and monitor their information in our system so as to define their geo-presence. This tool manages content targeted at our groudbreaking, location-aware, SmartPhone App.
We are a small company and work in even smaller teams. You will be working with smart back-end developers, cutting-edge designers, and our crack team of product managers to help us make our product truly great.
Brief Job Description
You will spend most of your time working with designers, developers, and product managers as you help build and enhance our highly specialized geo-presence content publishing platform, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Technology
We use JavaScript extensively, and we’ve standardized on jQuery. We insist on clean, readable code that is well-organized and efficient.
We use Django for much of our middle-tier, so you’ll get to be familiar with Django templates. Don’t worry if you haven’t used them; they’re easy to learn, easy to work with, and in time will just blend into the HTML you’re already comfortable with.
Our Technology Stack
- Python, Django framework
- Apache HTTPd
- nginx
- memcached
- RabbitMQ
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- Ubuntu Linux
- git
Requirements
We are looking for developers who are smart and diligent. We are looking more to skills, attitude, and work than experience and formal education (though both of those are valuable, too!)
There are no education requirements, but you probably have at least a bachelors degree in some field.
We would be very pleased with senior-level experience, but talent matters more to us.
Strong written and spoken English skills are required.
U.S. citizens only, please.
