The primary responsibility of the Helpdesk Technician is to support internal customers at our Corporate Office and our remotely located stores, to provide assistance and resolution to Information Technology issues related to their daily tasks at Lamps Plus. The Helpdesk Technician works primarily in a level one IT customer support capacity, while assisting with any additional IT-related functions where needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience working with Windows XP and Microsoft Office products and familiarity with Windows 7.
  • Experience configuring/installing and repairing desktop and laptop computers.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work weekends or afternoons on a permanent basis.
  • Experience supporting a retail point of sale system is desired.

Education

  • High School Diploma required, a college degree is preferred.
  • Some Microsoft certifications preferred.
  • Cisco and other computer related training desired.
