The Sr. Technology Manager is primarily responsible for planning, managing, and supporting the deployment of technology platforms for authentication-related initiatives within the digital online properties. The manager will be responsible for collaborating with other disciplines and business to define the scope and timeline of features to be built, developing proofs of concept as needed, and providing technical expertise to manage vendors in successful execution of those outlined goals.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years experience web technology and software development experience, including hands on experience in key technologies: PHP/MySQL/LAMP/Java, etc
  • 3+ years of manager-level experience and proven leadership qualities
  • Full software development lifecycle experience
  • 4+ years experience developing SOAP/REST or Web Services based systems
  • 3+ years experience with open source frameworks and code libraries
  • Excellent understanding and experience in object oriented software engineering and principles, writing use cases, sequence diagrams, object data modeling
  • Demonstrated experience leading small teams in Agile environments
  • Digital online video experience a plus
  • Cloud computing experience a plus
  • Prior experience with authentication platforms preferred
  • Professional level knowledge of languages (Java, PHP, XML or Ruby), databases (MySQL), Web Service protocols (REST, SOAP, SAML, XACML), applications (Apache, JBoss).

Responsibilities

  • Planning, managing and supporting the deployment of technology platforms for authentication-related initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise in supporting and architecting integration of platforms with multiple vendors
  • Direct and manage vendors to ensure all services meet technical specifications
  • Accurately communicate project status and plan risk mitigation efforts for cost and timelines
  • Understand business requirements and be able to translate into technology specifications
  • Develop POCs for authentication/security features and work with vendors to integrate features into authentication platform
  • Plan roadmap of feature development against business needs and priorities
  • Manage communication with business units for new feature requests as well as ongoing support of services
  • Evaluate best practices, trends and technologies, partners and vendors
  • Identify and develop opportunities for creating new and improve existing tools and processes for greater efficiency, higher quality, client satisfaction, and revenues.
  • Provide support to internal and external technical teams as needed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as needed
  • Potential to mentor and guide several technical staff members for authentication projects
