Our client is looking for a talented MySQL Database Administrator with solid experience performing administration duties for both production and development environments.

More Specifically

  • Manage production environment MySQL databases including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, upgrades and schema changes
  • Creating processes to ensure data integrity and identify potential data errors
  • Act as the subject matter expert for database related issues such as scalability, replication, clustering, etc.
  • Develop custom reports on an ad hoc basis for a variety of different business units

Requirements
Specific Qualifications (items are required unless otherwise noted):

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing database systems for high-traffic transactional systems
  • EDUCATION: 4-year degree (or equivalent experience)
  • EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of MySQL Database Administration experience
  • ETL experience necessary with data warehouse experience a huge plus
  • Expert level experience creating stored procedures, performance tuning, automated backup and recovery, and capacity planning
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Systems administration skills including Linux (CentOS or Red Hat) experience are required
  • Experience working in an eCommerce or high transaction environment
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle is highly beneficial
  • Previous administration experience within a virtualized environment is a plus
  • Start-up experience is highly preferred
