IT / System Administrator at Ipplex, Los Angeles

IPPLEX is seeking an individual with extensive IT administration experience. Primary responsibilities will setting up and managing servers, coordinating cloud and hosted server instances, and some internal development. Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of our office IT infrastructure, including design, implementation and end user interaction
• Experience with NoSQL systems -MongoDB/Hadoop
• Work with front-end setup (PHP, Drupal, Javascript, AJAX and CSS)
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS is a plus)
• Manage relationship with our first-level (external) IT support team and triage issues with them as necessary
• Investigate, test and deploy systems for backup, file sharing and other services
• Set up and administer the company network, including routers and VPN
• Occasional phone system support (mainly new hire and ring group setup/configuration other operational aspects of the system are managed by a third party)
• Audit and manage system and network security

Requirements

• Experience supporting a mixed Windows/Mac/Linux environment
• Experience designing and maintain an office network, including VPN
• Intermediate to expert scripting ability
• File sharing setup / administration
• Passion for running a tight ship when it comes to security
• Excellent communication ability
• Great teamwork, analytical, and problem solving skills
• 2+ years of relevant experience and BS/MS in CS, or equivalent.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA
