Drupal Developer at Raytheon, Pasadena

Raytheon is currently seeking an excellent Drupal / Sr. Developer that will report to Raytheon’s Web Solutions Group. The Web Solutions Group is a world class web, multimedia and portal team which supports some of the world’s most visited websites. Our customers have received multiple awards, including most recently, the 2009 and 2010 Webby for Best Science Site on the Internet. Our continued growth has opened an opportunity for a creative junior Drupal developer to help build and enhance our customer’s websites. Our focus is on creating high quality, engaging and exciting web experiences with an emphasis on science, education and outreach for key customers such as NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple customers, maintain a cutting edge skillset and be able to deliver a great UI experience. We’ll appreciate your passion and enthusiasm for all things web!

Required Skills

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR possess equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of hand coding experience with HTML / XHTML / PHP / CSS
• Must have at least 1 years experience using Drupal prefer working knowledge and/or experience with Drupal 7
• Must have knowledge of theming; views, panels, and essential and auxiliary modules
• Must have experience in MySQL and SQL based queries
• Must have a high aptitude for visual design, interaction design and usability
• Must have experience troubleshooting or modifying Drupal modules
• Must be able to function in a team environment
• Must have excellent communication skills
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required

Desired Skills

Experience with one or more of the following technologies or skills a plus:

• HTML5, JQuery, AJAX
• Custom module development a plus
• Knowledge of Drupal CCK and Views a plus
• Knowledge of cross browser development issues
• Knowledge of Section 508 compliance coding standards.
• Knowledge of Mobile development (iPhone/Android)
