Mid-Level LAMP Developer at Ratespecial Interactive, Pasadena

RateSpecial Interactive is currently seeking a self-motivated mid-level LAMP Developer to fill a combined role of both front end and back end development tasks. Tasks will include developing lightweight front end pages to work in conjunction with back end data mining API’s and Web Services using the CodeIgniter MVC framework and custom written libraries.

Employees work in a creative team environment, with a work hard, play hard mentality. Seeking the right candidate to join the RateSpecial Interactive Team and provide immediate support.

Job Experience/Requirements:

• 3-4 years LAMP Stack Experience Including:

1. PHP5 w/ MVC framework understanding and experience (Preferably CodeIgniter)
2. MySQL database design and normalization, strong SQL skills
3. API integration and/or development experience
4. Strong knowledge of XML and Web Services (REST, SOAP)
5. Apache configuration (General httpd.conf maintainance, mod_rewrite)
6. Strong *NIX shell skills
7. 3-4 years JavaScript experience (Strong JQuery experience a big plus)

• Excellent HTML and CSS skills (should be able to build tableless layouts from the group up, effeciently)
• GIT for version control and content deployment
• Experience with statistical tracking systems a plus
• Experience working in load balanced, distributed systems a plus
